Toowoomba Show 2019
There was a very good display of Square Meaters Cattle at this year’s Show with 29 entries in the Stud class and 7 entries in the Steer and Heifer class.
The Judge Mr Peter Lynes praised the quality of the animals and their presentation. He selected a quality animal in Oakvale Noway, owned by Gary and Heather Sewell as Grand Champion Bull from the 18 mth to 21 mth Class, which he described as an animal that would go on and develop into a worthy mature Bull.
In the female section Mr Lynes selected Cooingie Squares Diana, owned by Eric and Marlene Ross. Diana came from the Calf section and was described by Mr Lynes as a perfect example of the breed. He stated that he is always hesitant to place a Junior animal over proven females, but in this case he had no problem as Diana is an exceptional well balanced example of the Breed.
The Steer and Heifer Class was very well supported with 7 entries, and was a classic display for one breed to present this number of animals. This class was won by a 12 month pure bred Square Meaters Steer Rosellinos Pedro, exhibited by Eric and Marlene Ross.
